Object to Viridor's incinerator application in Bristol
Application ref: 09/04470/F - Resource Recovery Centre (MRF & EfW) at Former Sevalco Site (North), Severn Road, Avonmouth

Viridor have lodged a planning application to build a 500,000 tpa (tonnes per year) waste facility in Avonmouth, including within this site, a 350,000 tpa energy from waste by incineration plant.

The application is due to be heard by Bristol City Council's Development Control (North) Committee on 10 March.

What you can do
1. Object to the planning application in writing, or by email, quoting the planning application reference 09/04470/F. The Council have requested that objections should be received by Friday 22 January 2010, but the Council should continue to accept objections up until the date of the meeting (10 March). If you want to make a personal statement at the meeting, you need to submit this by noon on the day before the meeting, also to:

For legal reasons, they cannot enter into discussions on the application, but you can let them know about the level of concern about the application, and give them reasons for turning down the application on planning grounds. here



Object to SITA's incinerator application in South Gloucestershire

Application ref: PT09/5982/F - Energy Recovery Centre, Severnside Works, Severn Road, Hallen, Bristol BS10 7SP

SITA have lodged plans to build a 400,000 tpa energy recovery by incineration plant, also in Avonmouth - but over the border in the South Gloucestershire authority area.

The application is due to be considered before 4 March, possibly as early as the planning committee meeting on 4 February 2010.

What you can do
1. Object to the planning application in writing, or by email, quoting the planning application reference PT09/5982/F. In order to be included in the officer's report, objections should be submitted before 28 January, but the Council will continue to receive late objections up to the date of the planning meeting. If you want to make a personal statement at the meeting, you need to notify Paul Johnson of Legal and Democratic Services: paul.johnson@southglos.gov.uk.
